The Government’s pollution monitoring service is forecasting generally low levels of air pollution across the country, with localised areas of moderate pollution in some urban areas.  Light winds are allowing the build-up of locally emitted pollution.

Actual recorded levels were showing moderate pollution (level 4 on the DAQI scale) at Colnbrook Lakeside as of 6am this morning, largely down to a spike in provisional readings to a staggering 211 µg/m3 yesterday lunchtime.  The maximum hourly mean for the monitoring station has been 31 µg/m3 so far for the year to date.

The alert is for Tuesday and Wednesday only; normal conditions should return on Wednesday.
