It’s official. HRH the Duchess of Cornwall will be unveiling the long anticipated Diamond Jubilee Clock at a ceremony in the centre of Colnbrook High Street on Friday, 29th June 2012. The historic occasion will kick off with a ceremony that will include local schools and will be followed by the Amnesty Day and Jubilee Party at the George the following day in support of Help for Heroes.

Colnbrook’s month-long Jubilee celebration continues on Saturday 30th when The George holds a combined Amnesty Day Celebration & Jubilee Street Party. Members of the armed forces and their vehicles will be on hand in an event being held in support of Help for Heroes.
The Ostrich Jubilee Street Party WILL go ahead despite the rain! The drenching the entire country has received overnight will not do nothing to dampen the party atmosphere … but the celebrations will move indoors – including a live broadcast of the Jubilee Pageant!
The Ostrich’s Philippe De Azevedo has confirmed the pub’s Jubilee Celebration will now include a Battle of the Bands! For the kids there will be a themed fancy dress, face painting, competitions, and, YES! after all, a bouncy castle! For the adults, of course, live music all afternoon and a bonfire in the evening (weather permitting), plus a “proper” barbecue with “proper” coal and homemade burgers.
You heard it here first! Colnbrook Views has obtained inside information that June will officially see no less than THREE street parties in honour of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Celebrations. Full details are emerging but Colnbrook will now have an extravaganza to rival ANY of the local events planned!
