The man arrested by police for aggravated burglary following Monday’s shooting was arrested for a Boxing Day burglary in 2015. Anthony Hearn, 48, from Moreland Close, was charged with conspiracy to commit aggravated burglary in relation to the incident and was due to appear at Slough Magistrates’ Court later today.
Goodman Logistics has failed in its High Court challenge to force the Government to reconsider a controversial plan for a huge rail freight interchange in Colnbrook. Firefighters had to cut the roof off of a car this morning to free a woman trapped inside following an accident on the Colnbrook By-pass. The woman was taken to hospital by paramedics as a precautionary measure after complaining of pain in her back and shoulders.

Colnbrook Parish Council wants to acknowledge the role that the key buildings in the village have played in the country’s history in the run-up to the celebrations of the Civil War this Summer. Cllr Dexter Smith believes the threat of Heathrow makes this an opportune time to carry out the project, “putting Colnbrook’s history on the map at a time when its future is in the balance”.
The CCG, the group that is responsible for providing local NHS services, says it would be interested to know how many patients would wish to register with a new Medical Centre located in the heart of Colnbrook. The CCG will be discuss a Colnbrook practice at its next meeting in July.

A High Court challenge mounted by SIFE developer Goodman could, if successful, be bad news for Heathrow. However, they are also set to call for responsibility for fulfilling key commitments to be stripped from the airport.
Datchet Parish Council has informed Colnbrook Parish Council that it will end its contract to provide clerk and office services at the end of May, “primarily” due to office restructuring at Datchet.
