The £600,000 new Children’s Centre in Colnbrook will complete Slough’s target of 10 children’s centres in the borough and comes amid research suggesting 47 children’s centres in England have closed or are earmarked for closure because of funding cuts.

Neighbourhood Action Groups (NAGs) are a key part of Neighbourhood Policing in the Thames Valley. A NAG is a multi-agency, problem solving group that consists of relevant partner agencies, key stakeholders and, most importantly, members of the local community.
The Vicarage Way Children’s centre and Library opened on 10th October 2011. The space has been transformed inside and out and looks amazing. The original features have still been kept but it looks really bright and welcoming.
Slough Borough Council is calling on residents to come forward and take an active part in the forthcoming Crime Reduction Environment Week (CREW) in Colnbrook. A CREW is a multi agency week of action bringing together a broad range of partner agencies and local residents to tackle crime, disorder and environmental issues, and will take place in Colnbrook on 19 – 25 September.

The Slough Youth Bus will now be rolling into Colnbrook each and every Wednesday. The Youth Bus is a chance for all you young people aged 13-19 to relax, chill out and get involved in all sorts of activities, such as:
- Nintendo Wii with Outdoor Flat Screen
- 2 x Playstation 3s
- 5 Flat Screen computers
- Gemini CD Mixing Decks
- Arts and Crafts
- Sofa Chill Out Areas
- Music Production
- Sports Equipent (Hockey, Nerf Ball)
- Board Games
So if you’re interested in any of the above whether it be just chilling out or mixing your own tunes come and meet us!
Each and every Monday there will be a drop-in youth session at Westfield Community Hall. We hope to do loads of activities like:
– Art and Graffiti projects
– Employment and Education Advice
– Music Production
– And just somewhere to chill out
