Colnbrook clean-up operation is a success

From the Slough Express:

Garage owners in Colnbrook filled two rubbish skips after a successful clean-up operation, the Slough Express reports today.

2 skips of rubbish have been removed from Severn Crescent

Slough Borough Council’s neighbourhood enforcement team worked with 15 owners of garages in Severn Crescent to remove rubbish and clear overgrown plants from the area.

Esther Deacon, community project officer, said:

The clean-up went really well. The feedback from garage owners was very positive. There is an enthusiasm from everyone to work together and the attendance at the clean-up, and the work put in, has been extremely encouraging.

The initiative was part of an ongoing effort to help improve the area and prevent fly-tipping and vandalism.
Gates were installed at the front of the garages, and there are plans to fence off the back to prevent unauthorised access.
