Colnbrook High Street to close for vehicles Thursday for resurfacing
Get ready if you want to take one of those “Then and Now” pictures of Colnbrook High Street with no cars to clutter up the view: Carriageway surface treatment works are to be carried out on various patches of the High Street overnight this coming Thursday which will require the street to be closed to traffic in both directions.
Slough Borough Council’s Highway Maintenance team have advised that works will be carried out on the High Street on Thursday 17th October 2013 between 7:30pm and 5am.
The works are anticipated to be completed within one night, subject to weather conditions. The contractor will display signs informing the exact date of start, and before the works commence and diversion signs will be displayed on diverted routes during the works.
Highways has warned that some inconvenience will be inevitable during the work and asked for “co-operation and forbearance”:
As we are carrying out works during evening/night hours the contractor has been asked to cease any pneumatic tooling works before 11:30pm, however some noise disturbance is inevitable. Please accept our apology in advance for any inconvenience caused by the noises generated as a result of our works.
While access to all properties will be made available registered disable persons are asked to let Highways know in advance so that provisions can be made.
The resurfacing contractor is Eurovia Infrastructure Ltd and Andrew Hoddinott will be the contact point during the road closure, on 07717765528.
