Colnbrook Scouts Group has announced details of events to coincide with St George’s Day, including the annual St George’s Day Parade through the village, the annual retaking of the Scout’s Promise, and a fundraiser.

Saturday, April 25, 10 am-4 pm: Fundraiser at The George

The Scouts will hold a celebration and entertainment event in the car park of the George, with the staff at the George providing everything except the people to run the stalls … and a bouncy castle!

As well as a fun day the event is being positioned as an opportunity to raise funds to keep the Scout Group in operation.  Scouts are required to be in full uniform, and volunteers from all sections are sought to help run the stalls.

Sunday, April 26, at 10.15 am: Annual Parade and Scout’s Promise

The Scouts’ annual St George’s Day Parade will take place.  Following that members of the Beavers, Cubs and Scouts troops will retake their Scout’s Promise.  The event, which will be held at St Thomas’ Church opposite the Village Hall is aimed at all faiths and  should take no more than an hour.

Parents are welcome but not required to attend.
