Community Association to hear update on youth matters
The Colnbrook Community Association will focus on youth matters at its meeting on November 18th.
The CCA will hold two meetings on November 18th. The first, an Extraordinary General Meeting, will be asked to approve the association’s accounts for the year ended June 2013. The second, a Members’ Meeting, will focus on youth matters.
Rob Deeks, of Youth Engagement Slough (YES) is set to give an update on the consortium’s activities since it was appointed earlier this year.
YES – led by Aik Saath from Resource Productions and SWIPE – was selected by Slough Borough Council in March to deliver community-based youth services.
The move followed an overhaul of services resulting in the closure of Slough Young People’s Centre (SYPC). The consortium includes 14 associate organisations.
The meeting will also hear an update on the progress of the CCA’s flagship Youth Club project, and on status of its associated fundraising event the Colnbrook Christmas Fair.
The full agenda for the public session is:
1. Minutes of the last Members Meeting.
2. Chair’s Report by Vicki Brenner
3. Colnbrook Youth Club report by Charles Burke.
4. Yes Consortium update by Rob Deeks.
5. Colnbrook Winter Fair update.
6. Police report and questions. (TBC)
