The Colnbrook Community Association was established in July 2010, with the following aims and objectives:
1. To become an independent voice for and listen to the needs of residents
2. To represent all of Colnbrook, Poyle, Brands Hill and Westfield
3. To work with and compliment existing groups within the area
4. To act as a direct link to Slough Borough Council and any succession authority; together with their partners.
In order to launch the group we conducted a survey of all residents within the area. Whilst the initial response was disappointing, subsequent feedback and enquiries have resulted in a worthwhile list of matters that need to be addressed in the opinion of our increasing membership.
In addition to our own survey we were asked to obtain comments from our members on the proposed closure of the Colnbrook Village Hall. The results of that survey were passed on to the Village Hall Trustees on 23rd October.
At the time of writing we await feedback from the trustees and a date from them for a meeting, hopefully involving other interested parties, at which the future of this valuable village asset will be discussed.
During our brief existence we have achieved quite a lot and we hope that our contribution to the enhancement of the feel good factor will continue.

The Colnbrook Community Association was established in July 2010, under Slough Borough Councils ‘Neighbourhood Working‘ initiative, with the following aims and objectives:

You can explore our progress to date on the major issues arising on these pages.  Other matters arising from the survey include improved public transport, allotment provision, a regular youth club, and the provision of adult and recreational classes in existing facilities within the Ward. We will be making enquiries into these matters over the coming months.

In addition to our own survey we were asked to obtain comments from our members on the proposed closure of the Colnbrook Village Hall. The results of that survey were passed on to the Village Hall Trustees on 23rd October 2010.

At the time of writing we await feedback from the trustees and a date from them for a meeting, hopefully involving other interested parties, at which the future of this valuable village asset will be discussed.

During our brief existence we have achieved quite a lot (see the sections on this site) and we hope that our contribution to the enhancement of the feel good factor will continue.
