Dedicated duo receive Parish Council’s highest honour
The Slough Observer has featured the award of the self-styled ‘Freeman of the Parish’ to serving parish councillors Kishurbhai Laxman and Raymond Angell earlier this month.

A dedicated duo received a parish council’s highest honour for their hardwork.
Colnbrook with Poyle parish council held the Freeman of the Parish ceremony for councillors Ray Angell and Kishore Laxman on Friday, May 9.
About 70 guest were present at the Hilton London Heathrow Terminal 5, in Poyle Road, including family, friends, and representatives of organisations that had benefited from their wide-ranging community work.
Cllr Peter Hood, parish council chairman, said: “The event went off brilliantly and celebrated everything good about working hard with others to build and maintain a community. The Hilton certainly looked after us.
“I thank them and everybody that attended for making Kishore & Ray’s evening so special and truly memorable.”
