Dog training classes launch in Colnbrook
Offering “fun, kind and effective” training methods based on the solid foundation of an understanding of doggy behaviours, a new group will be offering dog training classes at Colnbrook Village Hall from next week.
New dog training classes will begin at Colnbrook Village Hall next week.
Click 4 Paws, a Surrey based outfit committed to using positive, force free training methods, will be kicking off a series of group training sessions on Thursday, 12th January. Two separate sessions will be offered:
- Puppy Foundation Classes from 6pm to 6:45pm, focusing on socialisation, basic clicker training and problem solving; and
- Dog Manners and Life Skills Classes from 6:45pm to 7:45pm, including loose leash walking, clicker training, relationship building, focus & clam, boundary games, and self control games.
Trainer Laura says she is setting out to create a great training experience for both owner and pet based around positive reinforcement animal training taught by the internationally renowned Karen Pryor Academy. The approach involves looking at things from the dog’s perspective and using an array of rewards such as treats, toys and verbal praise to encourage good behaviours – rather than conventional “positive punishment” based training.
Graduates of the Academy are subject to a policed credentialing process, and are expected to demonstrate the highest level of professionalism and ethics.
Click 4 Paws also offers one on one private training sessions, family group classes, and a Puppy Starter programme. See the website for more details.
