Get set for another Big Tidy Up: Colnbrook Action Week

Following last year’s successful Big Tidy Up on the Westfield estate Slough Borough Council is getting ready to do it all again. It’s looking for your help … and your ideas.

Colnbrook Action Week will be taking place in the week commencing Monday 14th July 2014.  Previously been called Crime Reduction and Environment Weeks (CREW), these weeks of action bring together community groups, council teams, partner agencies and local residents to tackle crime, disorder and environmental issues.

This year SBC are keen to involve other community groups in Colnbrook in addition to the Parish Council in an attempt to broaden the appeal.

Central to the theme is a Big Tidy Up which last year focused on the Westfield estate, Tall Trees and Vicarage Way.  Several skip loads of rubbish were removed from the Westfield estate alone.  Lanz and Grundons donated skips to assist the exercise.

Resident turn out at the last event was impressive and SBC organiser Esther Deacon is hoping the turn out this year will be just as good.
