Heating malfunction forces new Children’s Centre to shut
The newly opened Vicarage Way Children’s Centre will be closed with immediate effect as a result of a serious malfunction of the under floor heating.
According to Anne Evans, centre coordinator:
We have been unable to maintain an adequate working temperature in the building and we have now reached the point where a more in-depth investigation is required. The closure will take effect from this evening until further notice. We felt that it was better to close the Centre this side of Christmas rather than in the New Year because a lot more services are due to start up in January.
We will be kept informed of the findings as the investigation work progresses and I will update you when we have further information. We are aiming to keep the period of closure to an absolute minimum but at this point in time we cannot predict how long will be required for the repair work
Colnbrook Views will keep you updated as to any developments.
