Maintenance work on M4 bridge begins
Maintenance work to a bridge over the M4 in Brands Hill will begin on Monday to prolong the life of the structure.
Key components of the bridge carrying Sutton Lane over the M4 will be replaced, resulting in daytime closures of the street until its completion on January 22.
Stephen Hall, Highways Agency asset manager said:
Periodic maintenance of this kind is vital to keeping journeys on our roads safe and reliable. By carrying out the work during daytime off-peak hours, we hope to minimise disruption for road users and local residents.
The work will be carried out between 9.30am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday, when Sutton Lane between Hurricane Way and the Sutton Lane residential spur road will be closed.
There will be no restrictions on the M4.
