Mayor apologises for breaching Code of Conduct
From the Slough Express:
The Mayor of Slough has apologised after breaking council rules.
Cllr Balvinder Bains will face a Slough Borough Council standards committee on Tuesday after breaching its code of conduct by failing to declare an interest.
A complaint was made by deputy Conservative leader Wayne Strutton to the council’s monitoring officer in April.
A council report has found Cllr Bains did fail to register an interest and the panel will determine what, if any, action to take.
Cllr Bains has apologised and said: “This was a genuine error.
“I received no gain and had no intention of committing any breach to the code of conduct.”
