New pizza parlour proposed for empty Brands Hill shop

A change of use application has been lodged to convert an empty shop in Brands Hill to a pizza parlour.

The application, relating to 6 Cherwell Close, adjacent to the New Ocean takeaway off busy London Road, was registered in March.

A change of use is proposed from Retail (Class A1) to Hot Food Takeaway (Class A5).

The application, P/05832/003, was made by a Mr M Nawabzada of Iselworth and follows the recent application  (P/14751/003) to convert a family home at 590 London Road into a fast food outlet that cause ward councillor James Walsh to hit out at the imbalance of fast food outlets in the borough and, particularly, in Colnbrook.

Lack of parking on a particularly busy stretch of road was also cited as an issue.

Plans submitted show the car parking space currently associated with the store will be lost, while two motorcycle bays will be retained.

The takeway is expected to create the equivalent of three full time jobs.
