Police baffled by vicious shooting at Colnbrook’s Riverside Café

Forensic pathologists were called to the Riverside Café on Bank Holiday Monday to investigate a brutal shooting in the café car park.

But don’t worry, the crime was a fictional creation – part of the BBC’s popular Silent Witness series about a team of forensic pathologists.

Filming for the scene at the Riverside Café on the Colnbrook By-Pass took most of the day.  Manageress Wallis Swanston-Murphy even managed to get a bit part.

The Riverside Café has been a popular choice for filming over the years, with episodes of Waking the Dead, The Sweeney, and Not the Nine o’ Clock News were filmed there.

The episode featuring yesterday’s shoot is set to be screened in January or February next year.
