School announces permanent exclusion for Mini-Cheddars boy

Colnbrook C of E head Jeremy Meek has reportedly permanently expelled six year old Riley Pearson from his school according to both local newspapers.

Mr Meek’s statement to the Slough Express said:

During the course of a recent four-day exclusion, the pupil’s parents made it publicly clear that their child would not be following the school’s policy on healthy eating upon their return.

If we are faced with a situation where a parent threatens to send a pupil into school with insufficient food to sustain them throughout the school day, it is a risk we simply cannot afford to happen.

The Slough Observer reports that Mr Meek refused to meet with Riley’s father when he turned up for an agreed meeting at 9am yesterday, and that his 4-year old brother’s place at nursery was also withdrawn.
