Scrutiny panel recommends reopening of Chequers Bridge
An influential committee of councillors has recommended tonight that Hollow Hill Lane should be reopened at Chequers Bridge.
The Neighbourhoods and Community Services Scrutiny Panel committee met at St Martin’s Place earlier for its first meeting of the year, and voted to recommend that Hollow Hill/Mansion Lane be reopened as soon as possible.
The advisory panel reports in to the Overview & Scrutiny Committee which itself may make recommendations to Cabinet.
The Overview & Scrutiny Committee will meet next on 2nd February while Slough’s Cabinet is expected to discuss the reopening at its meeting on 6th February.
