Slough’s MP pays tribute to Margaret Thatcher

Labour MP Fiona Mactaggart has paid tribute to former Tory Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher following her death.

Miss Mactaggart said: “I didn’t agree with Margaret Thatcher’s politics, but she proved that a women can do the toughest job in the country, and coined a phrase which still often holds true ‘In politics if you want something said ask a man, if you want something done ask a woman.'”

She sent her condolences to Mrs Thatcher’s children Carole and Mark.

The UK’s first female Prime Minister died this morning after suffering a stroke, aged 87.
