Smog warning from Halloween bonfires for Sunday and Monday
Smog from Halloween bonfires is being blamed for the latest pollution alert for Colnbrook – and large parts of Greater London tomorrow and Monday.
airText has issued a “Moderate” alert for Sunday and a warning of “High” air pollution for Monday.
defra, which traditionally forecasts lower than airText, is also predicting increasing pollution tomorrow:
“… in the run up to bonfire night there is concern that Moderate air pollution levels are possible in places across many areas of England during the evening, especially given forecasts of light winds and mist and fog formation.”
This is the eleventh alert issued by airText this year, following the last incident on October 11.
