Solar Farm on Colnbrook Green Belt REFUSED
Slough Borough Council’s Planning Committee has voted to REFUSE the application from Sirius SBC Renewables to build a Solar Farm in Colnbrook adjacent to the Hilton Terminal 5 in Poyle.
Committee members voted to back the officers’ recommendation that to approve the application would see a further fragmentation of the Green Belt and the “loss of important open land within the Strategic Gap at Colnbrook and Poyle”.
Sirius SBC had sought a temporary, 25-year permission, to construct and operate a solar photovoltaic farm – but had acknowledged that change of use of the site would probably become permanent.
Parish councillors have been criticised for backing the scheme. For most that breaks a clear election promise to defend the Green Belt.
However, no resident – nor any community group – submitted any objection to the Planning Committee regarding the proposal.

I did!!!!!
However, I wouldn’t take promises by councillors elect too seriously!
Just look back on these pages and see what a load of ‘tosh’ most of them came out with in order to secure votes!
They should be strung up for such lies and deceit!!
