St Thomas’ sets out ambition to raise £5,000 to replace ageing sound system

St Thomas’ Church has launched a campaign to raise £5,000 to replace an ageing sound system.

St Thomas Church

The sound system at St. Thomas’ church needs replacing and vicar Peter Wyard is asking for help to raise  funds.

As well as at regular church services, the sound system is used at baptisms, weddings and funerals and also at community events such as the annual quiz and supper, last year’s WWI commemoration day, the Magna Carta Anniversary and this year the Queen’s 90 birthday celebration set for June.

The vicar made an appeal to residents in the parish newsletter recently distributed:

“So far we have raised nearly £3,000 from grants, donations and church fund raising events. We need at least another £2,000 for this project.

“If you would like to make a donation, however big or small, we would be very grateful”

Donations can be sent to: The Treasurer St. Thomas’ Church Vicarage Way Colnbrook SL3 0JY, or donations can be left in an envelope in the Church post box.

If you would like to gift aid your donation please contact Janet Morgan on 01753 823125 or Jenny Gregg on 01753 792846.
