Police are appealing for the owners of Asian gold recovered by officers to come forward, believing they could hold vital clues to crack a gang operating across much of the Thames Valley and west London.
Crime continues to fall in Slough but the town’s top cop is not ‘complacent’. The end of year crime figures were released this week. Overall crime is down from 14,413 offences in 2011/12 to 12,583 in 2011/12, a fall of 12.7 per cent.
Thames Valley Police has released pictures of Asian gold jewellery that officers believe is stolen property from Slough or east Berkshire in a bid to try and trace its owners.
Due to the continued rising value of precious metals including gold we have seen a large number of burglaries here in Slough where the theft of Asian jewellery has featured in many of the incidents.
