Datchet Parish Council has informed Colnbrook Parish Council that it will end its contract to provide clerk and office services at the end of May, “primarily” due to office restructuring at Datchet.
Colnbrook Parish Council looks set to get a new clerk following the announcement that Katy Jones was appointed clerk to Datchet Parish Council in June.
With no successor to retiring clerk Roland Hewson yet appointed Colnbrook Parish Council is exploring a link-up with Datchet Parish Council which could involve sharing of services.
Parish Clerk Roland Hewson has announced his retirement date. He will step down on March 31st 2015, shortly before the current council reaches the end of its term.
Councillors were told there is no urgency for achieving Quality Parish status currently, at their meeting on October 15. Accreditation could take a year, in parallel with a “seamless transition” to a new clerk.
Colnbrook Parish Council deferred its vote on Tuesday for the 2013 Colnbrook Community Cup again and the Parish Clerk has committed to allow nominations from the general public!
