Resurfacing on the A4 London Road between Upton Court Road and High Street Langley began yesterday (28 November) and will take around three weeks. The works will require the eastbound carriageway to be closed at night for about two weeks from next week (5 December).
Slough wins major concession on air quality protection for Brands Hill as Smart Motorway is approved
The Transport Secretary granted Development Consent for the M4 Smart Motoroway on Friday – but has insisted on additional measures to address air quality concerns raised by Slough Borough Council over Brands Hill and other pollution hotspots in the borough.
The Planning Inspectorate has announced the dates, times and places of public hearings associated with the M4 Smart Motorway initiative. Four hearings will be held between 10 and 12 February 2016, at the Holiday Inn Maidenhead/Windsor. A date has also been set for a further site inspection on 9 February 2016.
